The War Against Evil

Through the centuries God has empowered His Word to fight against the forces of evil. The truths of God’s Word exposes error, it convinces of sin, it points the way to salvation, it magnifies the Lord, it has power to perform miracles, and it strengthens God’s people to overcome evil from within.

In the end, there will be two superpowers that Satan will empower. They are described as the first and second beast. The first beast is a religious power that seeks the worship of the world. The second beast is able to cause the whole world to worship this religious power. Satan will work miracles through these powers to deceive the world.

The question should be asked, Why are these two beast powers described by the same words and phrases as God’s two witnesses? Obviously, Satan is not interested in empowering the Bible. However, he is interested in empowering religious powers that teach and promote things contrary to God’s Word. So in the end, individuals will be choosing between the truths found in God’s Word and the erroneous teachings of these two superpowers.

Through the centuries God has raised up churches and inspired revivals to fight against evil forces. The Lord empowered His Word, but He used people to take that Word to the world.

In the fight against evil forces in these last days, God will raise up a special movement of people and equip them with the proclamation of this three-fold message of warning. As God inspired revivals and movements in the past, He will continue to empower His people until this great conflict between good and evil comes to an end.
